September 7th, 2021

Police received a report of fraudulent activity on the caller’s bank account.  They advised that a sum of money was e-transferred from their account.  Police are continuing their investigation.

September 8th, 2021

At 12:20 am, police received a call requesting assistance with a female who was threatening to harm herself.  Police and EMS attended and spoke to the female who was subsequently transported by EMS to a healthcare facility for an assessment.

Police received a report of a theft of a bicycle from a residence in the 100 block of Stephen Street.  The caller advised his purple Renegade mountain bike was stolen between September 5th and September 8th.

At 3:00 pm, police received a report of Uttering Threats.  The victim reports that on September 4th a male attended her place of business and threatened her.  Police spoke with the suspect and issued a warning for his remarks.

At 3:45 pm, police received a call regarding shoplifting at a local business.  The suspect was also trespassing as they had been previously banned from this location.  Police are continuing their investigation.

Police were dispatched to a traffic accident between a motor vehicle and a bicycle.  The cyclist was heading northbound on Mountain Street near the curb when he attempted to turn left onto the back alley behind Tim Horton’s.  The vehicle was also travelling northbound on Mountain Street when the cyclist turned in front of her causing her to bump the bicycle.  No one was injured in this accident.

September 9th, 2021

At 2:10 pm, police received a call requesting a well-being check be conducted on a female.  Police attended and spoke to the female who was subsequently transported by family to a healthcare facility for an assessment.

Police received a report of a hit and run to a vehicle that occurred on August 31st at 10 am while parked in a parking lot on North Railway Street in Morden.  The driver parked his 2019 blue Dodge Ram and returned to find damage to the rear taillight.

September 10th, 2021

At 7:05 pm, police were dispatched to the 100 block of 8th Street regarding a motor vehicle accident.  Police attended along with EMS and Morden Fire and Rescue and spoke to the driver of the vehicle who advised she was checking her air conditioning vents and ended up driving over the curb and hitting a tree.  The driver of the vehicle was assessed by EMS and was not injured.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

September 11th, 2021

 At 4:50 am, police were dispatched to a residence regarding an intoxicated male refusing to leave.  The 55-year-old male was quite intoxicated and had nowhere to stay.  He was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober.  He was released without charges.

September 13th, 2021

At 1:00 am, police were dispatched to a residence regarding an intoxicated youth causing a disturbance.  Police attended and subsequent checks showed that the youth was reported missing from Winnipeg.  The youth was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells.  Police are continuing their investigation.
