September 21st, 2021
Police received a complaint regarding a female refusing to wear a mask inside a local school. Police spoke to the female and advised her that she is required to wear a mask inside the school or she must wait outside. She was advised that if she chooses to go inside the school without a mask she will be issued an offence notice.
Police received a report of fraudulent activity on the caller’s bank account. They advised that between September 2nd and September 3rd a large sum of money was etransferred from their account.
At 11:00 am, police received a report of a theft of a sign from Lake Minnewasta Campground. One of the metal signs with a plaque about the history of Morden was taken sometime overnight.
September 22nd, 2021
At 1:30 pm, police received a call regarding an upset male at a local business. Police attended and the business owner was upset with the individual regarding the work being done in the area. Police helped mediate the situation and all parties calmed down.
At 11:15 pm, police were dispatched to a residence regarding a noise complaint. The caller advised their neighbors were having a bonfire and doing karaoke in the backyard. Police attended and everyone was inside the residence.
September 23rd, 2021
Police received a report of a hit and run to a black 2018 Jeep Compass North that occurred on September 13th while parked on the 300 block of North Railway Street in Morden. Police are continuing their investigation.
September 24th, 2021
At 10:00 am, police were dispatched to a business regarding a distraught female. Police attended and spoke to the female who advised she had been in an argument with her step father and he left her at the business. No assaults were disclosed and the female advised she did not require assistance.
At 3:00 pm, police were dispatched to a business regarding a male refusing to wear a mask and yelling at staff. Police are continuing their investigation.
September 25th, 2021
At 2:40 am, police were dispatched to a residence regarding a noise complaint. Police attended and spoke to the resident who agreed to turn the music down.
At 11:30 am, police were dispatched to a residence regarding a neighbor dispute over a fence. Police attended and assisted in keeping the peace.
September 26th, 2021
Police received a report of a truck knocking down phone lines at Cochlan Drive and South Railway Street. BellMTS was contacted and attended to secure the wires.
