- One ticket for Speeding (73 km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $351
- One ticket for Speeding (95 km/hr in a 70 km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $378
- Two tickets for Fail to Wear a Mask which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for Drive without a Valid Driver’s Licence which carries a fine of $298
- Two tickets for Drive an Unregistered Vehicle which carries a fine of $298
December 23rd, 2021
Police were dispatched to a residence regarding an intoxicated male. Police attended and located the male who was highly intoxicated and struggling with personal issues. He was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. He was released without charges.
December 24th, 2021
At 12:18 pm, police received a call from a female stating that her boyfriend was hitting her and wouldn’t leave the residence. When police arrived on scene, they were informed that the male had already left. While police were looking for the suspect, he contacted the police service stating that he would turn himself in. A short while later, the male arrived at the police station where he was arrested and charged with one count of Assault. He was released on an Undertaking to appear in Morden Provincial Court in March.
December 25th, 2021
Morden Police Service received a complaint of yelling and screaming coming from an apartment. Police arrived and the tenant stated that she and her daughter got into a fight after the daughter broke a lamp. The mother stated that the adult daughter was no longer welcome in her residence and the daughter left without further incident.
December 26th, 2021
At 5:46 am, police were dispatched to an apartment regarding an intoxicated male who was causing a disturbance. When police arrived, they located an intoxicated male inside the apartment. He was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. He was released without charges.
December 27th, 2021
At 10:33 pm, police were dispatched to an apartment complex for a female that was passed out on the lobby stairs. When police arrived, they located the female who stated that she was from Winkler. The 30-year-old female was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act, transported to her residence and turned over to a sober adult. No charges were laid as a result of this incident.
December 28th, 2021
Police received a report of a scam. The caller stated that he was attempting to purchase a rifle online but after he sent a $310 deposit, all communication with the seller stopped. Morden Police would like to remind the public to use caution when making online purchases.
