February 7th, 2022
At 12:00 pm, police received a request to conduct a well being check on a female. Police attended the residence and located a male and female who both required medical assistance. EMS arrived and subsequently transported both subjects to a healthcare facility for treatment.
At 12:45 pm, police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the corner of Thornhill Street and Route 100. Police attended and observed a semi tractor stuck at the intersection blocking traffic. The semi was travelling west bound on Thornhill Street attempting to make a south bound turn onto Route 100 when he slid onto the curb and hit the light standard. The semi tractor was removed from the curb.
February 8th, 2022
At 6:30 pm, police received a report of an assault. The caller advised that her boyfriend slapped her and pushed her and she had left the residence to call police. Police attended the residence and subsequently arrested a 27 year old Morden male for Assault. He was released on an Undertaking to attend to Morden Provincial Court in April.
February 9th, 2022
At 9:15 pm, police received a report of an assault. Police attended and spoke to the victim who advised that her boyfriend had assaulted her on several different occasions. The 34 year old Morden resident was located at a different location and arrested for Assault. He was released on an Undertaking to attend to Morden Provincial Court in April.
February 10th, 2022
Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the corner of 2nd Street and Thornhill Street. A Brown Dodge Caravan was travelling eastbound on Thornhill Street when it collided with a white Chevrolet Equinox that was making a left hand turn onto Thornhill Street from 2nd Street. No one was injured at the accident and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
While on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop and detected an odor of liquor coming from the vehicle. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a warn reading. The driver was issued a 15 day driving suspension and a 3 day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $500 administrative penalty.
February 11th, 2022
At 3:00 am, police were dispatched to a residence regarding an assault. The caller advised that his girlfriend was intoxicated and tried to push him down the stairs and scratched him. Police attended the residence and subsequently arrested the 19 year old Portage resident for Assault. She was released on an Undertaking to attend to Morden Provincial Court in April.
At 9:45 pm, police received a request to conduct a well being check on a female who was sending concerning messages to the caller. Police attended and spoke to the female who was fine.
February 12th, 2022
While on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop and observed open liquor in the backseat of the vehicle. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a warn reading. The driver was issued a 72 hour driving suspension and a 3 day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $400 administrative penalty. The driver was also issued a ticket for Fail to Comply with License Restriction which carries a fine of $203.

Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a warn reading. The driver was issued a 72 hour driving suspension and a 3 day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $400 administrative penalty.
