December 19th, 2022 – January 3rd, 2022

During this reporting period, MPS issued:

  • One ticket for Speeding (97 km/hr in a 70 km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $403
  • One ticket for Speeding (101 km/hr in a 70 km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $456
  • One ticket for Speeding (100 km/hr in a 70 km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $442
  • One ticket for Speeding (105 km/hr in a 70 km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $508
  • One ticket for Speeding (86 km/hr in a 60 km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $391
  • One ticket for Fail to comply with license restrictions which carries a fine of $203 and a 30-day license suspension.
  • One ticket for Disobey Traffic Control Device namely Stop Sign which carries a fine of $203
  • Eight tickets for Driving Unregistered which carries a fine of $298
  • One ticket for Drive Disqualified which carries a fine of $672
  • One ticket for failing to wear a seat belt which carries a fine of $298
  • One ticket for failing to have a supervised driver as a holder of a Learners license which carries a fine of $203

December 23rd, 2022

At 11:16pm, police conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle. The driver had an odor of liquor and police made a demand for a breath sample on a Roadside Screening device which resulted in a warn reading. The driver was issued a 72-hour driving suspension and a 3-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $400 administrative penalty.

December 31st, 2022

At 2:35am, police conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle. The driver had an odor of liquor and police made a demand for a breath sample on a Roadside Screening device which resulted in a fail reading. The driver was issued a 90-day driving suspension and a 30-day vehicle impoundment along with a $700 administrative penalty.

January 1st, 2023

At 2:16am, police received a complaint of a fight in a parking lot of a local establishment. Police attended and located the suspect, who was found to be intoxicated and argumentative. After arresting the suspect, police learned he had also damaged a vehicle in the parking lot during the altercation. The suspect was transported to MPS where he was held until sober and released with a court date in March 2023.
