During this reporting period, MPS issued:
- One ticket for Speeding (123km/hr in a 100km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $351
- One ticket for Speeding (130km/hr in a 100km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $442
- One ticket for Speeding (127km/hr in a 100km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $403
- One ticket or Disobey Traffic Control Device namely Stop Sign which carries a fine of $203
- One ticket for Driving Unregistered which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for Failing to Wear Seatbelt which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for Speeding (72km/hr in a 50km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $338
May 19th, 2023
At 3:45am, police received a call requesting assistance with a male who was threatening to harm himself. Police attended and spoke to the male who was then brought to a healthcare facility for an assessment.
May 21st, 2023
At 7:35am, police were dispatched to a local business for an uncooperative male. Police arrived on scene and knew the male to be on conditions not to attend the business. The 34-year-old male was arrested for Failing to Comply with Undertaking and released on an Appearance Notice to attend to the Morden Provincial Court in August.
May 22nd, 2023
Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision involving a scooter. Police attended along with EMS and Morden Fire and Rescue. EMS subsequently transported a male to hospital and police cleared the scene. No charges were laid as a result of the incident.
At 8:00pm, police received a call regarding someone yelling. Police attended the area to find a 29-year-old female intoxicated. The suspect was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. She was released without charges.
May 25th, 2023
Police received a report of a hit and run that happened on May 18th, at approximately 6:00pm. The driver parked his vehicle on Tulip Street and returned to find damage to the left side of the motor vehicle. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is encouraged to contact MPS.
May 29th, 2023
Police were dispatched to a local residence for an intoxicated female causing a disturbance. The 24-year-old female was intoxicated and uncooperative and was subsequently arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged into cells until sober.
At 12:52 am, police received a call requesting police assistance with a female who was threatening to harm herself. Police attended and spoke to the female who was subsequently transported to a healthcare facility for an assessment.
