During this reporting period, MPS issued:
- One ticket for Drive an Unregistered Vehicle which carries a fine of $298
- Eighteen tickets for Speeding
- Nine tickets for Driver Not Wearing a Seatbelt which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for Drive Imprudently which carries a fine of $203
- One ticket for Drive without Holding a Valid Driver’s Licence which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for Driver Fail to Produce Licence which carries a fine of $113
- Five tickets for Disobey Traffic Control Device namely Stop Sign which carries a fine of $203

At 1:00 am, police were dispatched to a residence regarding an intoxicated female who would not leave the caller’s yard. Police attended and arrested the female under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. She was lodged in cells until sober and released without charges.
October 18th, 2024
Police received a Warrant of Arrest for 37 year-old Dieter Martsch for one count of Fail to Comply with Probation Order.
Police received a Warrant of Arrest for 20 year-old Lucas Thiessen for one count of Fail to Comply with Probation Order.
October 20th, 2024
While on general patrol, police observed a vehicle enter a parking lot quickly and have difficulty parking. Police spoke to the driver and detected an odor of liquor coming from the vehicle. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a fail reading. The driver was issued a 90-day driving suspension and a 30-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $700 fine.
At 1:50 am, police observed a male walking in the parking lot of a licensed establishment with open liquor. Police spoke to the male who refused to identify himself and was argumentative with police. The male was intoxicated and and belligerent with police, refusing to follow direction. He was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. He was released the next morning without charges.
At 3:20 am, police received a 911 call and yelling could be heard in the background before the caller hung up. Police attended and spoke to a male who advised that everything was fine but he was shirtless and had blood on him. Another male came to the door and took a fighting stance with closed fists while speaking aggressively to police. He was told to calm down but he continued to advance towards police screaming at them. Police told the male that he was under arrest for assault and he then punched police, striking an officer in the face. Police deployed a Conducted Energy Weapon (Taser) and were able to safely take the male into custody. A 29 year-old male was charged with Assault Police Officer and Resist Arrest and later released on an Undertaking for court in January.
