January 20th, 2026
Police, Fire and EMS were dispatched to the intersection of 9th Street and South Railway for a report of a vehicle hitting pedestrians. Police arrived on scene and injuries were reported; EMS transported the injured people to the hospital for assessment. The driver was issued a ticket for Fail to Yield Right of Way to Pedestrian which carries a fine of $143
January 21st, 2026
Police received a report of a 3-vehicle collision on 9th street and North Railway. Police arrived on scene and no injuries were reported, information was exchanged, and police cleared.
At 7:30 pm, police were dispatched to a 2-vehicle collision on Thornhill Street. Police arrived on scene and no injuries were reported. Both parties exchanged information, and 1 vehicle was towed from the scene.
January 22nd, 2026
Police were dispatched to a local residence for an intoxicated male. Police arrived and located the 32-year-old male and arrested him under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. He was lodged in cells until sober and released with no charges.
January 23rd, 2026
At 3:00 am, police received a complaint that a neighbor was screaming and causing a disturbance. Police arrived and located the 32-year-old male and arrested him under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. He was lodged in cells until sober and released without charges.
January 24th, 2026
At 2:30 am, police were dispatched to a possible impaired driver who was stuck in a snowbank. Police arrived on scene and observed the male driver with a strong odor of liquor on his breath. The accused was arrested and transported to Morden Police Service to provide a breath sample. The 38-year-old male failed both readings and as a result he was charged with Operation While Impaired and Operate over 80mg%. The driver was released once sober on an Appearance Notice to appear in Morden Provincial Court in April. The driver was also issued a 3-month licence suspension along with a 30-day impoundment of vehicle.
At 7:30 pm, police received a report of a male outside a local business causing a disturbance. Police arrived to find a 32-year-old male intoxicated; he was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. He was released without charges.
January 26th, 2026
At 1:00 am, police were dispatched to a male who was causing a disturbance. The 32-year-old male was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. He was released without charges.
