During this reporting period, MPS issued:

  • One By-Law ticket for Parked Contrary to Signage which carries a fine of $100

July 7th, 2026

Police were dispatched to a local business for an intoxicated male causing a disturbance. Police attended and took custody of the subject and learned that the 30-year-old male had a warrant for arrest. The male was arrested on the strength of the warrant and lodged in cells until sober. The male was released on an Appearance Notice to attend Thompson Provincial Court in August.

At 8:00 am, police received a report that a public park bench had been vandalized. Police are continuing their investigation.

July 8th, 2026

Police were dispatched to a local residence for a report of an intoxicated female causing a disturbance. Police arrived and knew the subject to be on condition, the 25-year-old female was arrested for Failing to Comply with Undertaking and lodged in cells. She was released once sober on an Appearance Notice to attend Morden Provincial Court in September.

Police received an Endorsed Warrant for Sheldon Harper for Failing to Comply with Appearance Notice.

Police were dispatched to a 2-vehicle collision at the intersection of Thornhill and 1st Street. The accident was result of a vehicle turning southbound from Thornhill Street to 1st Street and not seeing an approaching east bound vehicle. No injuries were reported and one vehicle was towed from the scene.

July 11th, 2026

At 4:30 pm, police were dispatched to local businesses for a report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. Police attended and arrested the 32-year-old male under the Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act and lodged in cells. He was released once sober without charges.

July 12th, 2026

At 2:00 pm, police were dispatched to local businesses for a report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. Police attended and arrested the 32-year-old male under the Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act and lodged in cells. He was released once sober without charges.
