During this reporting period, MPS issued:
- One By-Law ticket for fail to ride E-Bike or PEV as close to right curb as possible which carries a fine of $50
- Two By-Law tickets for park vehicle on boulevard which carries a fine of $100
- One By-Law ticket for park unregistered vehicle on a city street which carries a fine of $100
- One By-Law ticket for parked facing oncoming traffic
- Six tickets for Speeding
- Two tickets for Driving Unregistered Vehicle which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for Tow an Unregistered Trailer which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for Disobey Traffic Control Device namely Stop Sign which carries a fine of $203
September 11th, 2026
At 11:20 am, police were dispatched to a vehicle accident with no injuries reported. The accident was result of one vehicle backing into another. both parties exchanged information and police cleared.
September 12th, 2026
At 11:30 am, police were dispatched to the intersection of Stephen Street and Mountain Street regarding an electric scooter that drove into the side of a truck. The rider had failed to stop at the intersection nor use the crossing lights before proceeding. Police arrived on scene and no injuries were reported.
September 15th, 2026
At 11:45 am, police were dispatched to the intersection of Thornhill Street and 1st Street for a report of a 2-vehicle collision. The accident was the result of a west bound vehicle making a south bound turn from Thornhill Street onto Route 100. The driver did not see an approaching east bound vehicle and turned when it was unsafe to do so. Police arrived on scene with EMS, one minor injury was reported and EMS assisted. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
September 16th, 2026
At 3:45 pm, police were dispatched to the intersection of Gilmour and 6th Street for a report of a 3-vehicle collision. The accident as the result of an east bound vehicle being struck by a north bound vehicle that had proceeded through the intersection when it was unsafe to. A third parked vehicle was further stuck by the north bound vehicle. Police arrived on scene along with Morden Fire and EMS. No injuries were reported and the vehicles were towed from the scene.
September 19th, 2026
Police were dispatched to a local business for a report of a theft. Through the use of surveillance footage of the theft police were able to locate the suspects. The business declined charges and the suspects were banned from the store.
At 4:00 am, police were dispatched to a local residence for an unknown male inside the house. Police arrived on scene and arrested a 21-year-old male for break and enter. The male was known to the homeowners and alcohol is believed to have played a factor. The male was released on an Undertaking to attend Morden Provincial Court in December.
