April 22nd, 2025 – April 28th, 2025

During this reporting period, MPS issued:

  • Three tickets for Speeding
  • Two tickets for Fail to Produce Licence which carries a fine of $113
  • One ticket for Fail to Stop at Railway Crossing with a Stop Sign which carries a fine to $298
  • One ticket for Trespass which carries a fine of $672
  • Four tickets for Disobey Traffic Control Device namely Stop Sign which carries a fine of $203

April 22nd, 2025

Police received a report of mischief to City of Morden Public Works equipment.  Police are continuing their investigation.

At 11:50 pm, police received a report of a male causing a disturbance by yelling and screaming inside an apartment complex.   Police attended and arrested the 31-year-old male under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged him in cells until sober.

April 23rd, 2025

Police received a report of a hit and run which occurred while the caller was parked on Stephen Street.  He advised that when he returned to his vehicle there was a note from two witnesses who observed a vehicle back into his vehicle.  The suspect was contacted and completed a traffic accident report.  No charges were laid as a result of this incident.

Police received a report of a hit and run to a vehicle that occurred on April 19th while parked in a parking lot on Loren Drive in Morden.  The driver parked her 2019 black Buick Envision and returned to find damage on the right front corner of her car. 

At 11:50 pm, police were dispatched to an apartment complex regarding a male causing a disturbance by yelling and banging on people’s doors.  Police attended and spoke to the male who advised he would quiet down.  Police were called back again as the male was again yelling and playing his music very loudly.  Police attended and arrested the 31-year-old male under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged him in cells until sober.

April 24th, 2025

Police received a report of a hit and run to a vehicle that occurred on March 11th while parked in a parking lot on Thornhill Street in Morden.  The driver parked his 2017 red Dodge Ram truck and returned to find damage on the right rear door.

At 10:10 pm, police were dispatched to a local business regarding a male who was banned from attending the property.  Police attended and located the male who was arrested for trespassing.  Police located unstamped cigarettes on his person as well.  He was issued a ticket for possess not Manitoba marked tobacco which carries a fine of $2542 and a ticket for trespass which carries a fine of $672.

April 25th, 2025

Police received a call from a female advising that her husband had called and said that people were trying to kill him and he didn’t know where he was.  Police attended and spoke to the male on the phone who was heavily intoxicated.  He told police where he was and once located was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act.  He was lodged in cells until sober.

April 26th, 2025

At 1:00 am, police were dispatched to a local business regarding a disturbance.  Police attended and observed a male who is known to be on conditions to not attend this business and not to consume alcohol.  He was arrested for Failing to Comply with his Undertaking and released on an Appearance Notice to attend court in July.
