During this reporting period, MPS issued:
- One ticket for Speeding (127 km/hr in a 100 km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $403
- Four tickets for Drive an Unregistered Vehicle which carries a fine of $298
- Two By-Law tickets for Parked Contrary to Signage which carries a fine of $150
- One ticket for Speeding (132 km/hr in a 100 km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $469
April 8th, 2024
At 12:25 pm, police were dispatched to a local hotel regarding a male and female fighting. Police attended and observed the male and female inside their hotel room. The male was known to be on conditions to have no contact with the female and not attend within 200 meters of her residence. He was arrested for Failing to Comply with this Release Order and remanded into custody to appear in Winnipeg Provincial Court.
April 12th, 2024
Police received a report of a theft of a blue and white kids Huffy mountain bike from Ecole Morden Middle School bike rack sometime in the evening on April 11th.
At 12:15 pm, police were dispatched to the intersection of Thornhill and Mountain Street for a motor vehicle collision. A vehicle travelling eastbound on Thornhill Street attempting to turn north across traffic onto Mountain Street and was struck by a westbound vehicle. EMS attended the scene for minor injuries and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Police received a report of a theft of a green and white Huffy bike from the Esso gas station sometime in the evening on April 9th.
April 15th, 2024
At 5:15 am, police received a call from an intoxicated female who wanted police to help her. Police attended a residence and spoke to the complainant, who was highly intoxicated. She was found to be causing a disturbance and was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. The suspect was lodged in cells until sober.
