During this reporting period, MPS issued:

  • One ticket for Speeding
  • One ticket for Proceed when Unsafe to do so which carries a fine of $174

December 22nd, 2025

Police received a report of a theft from a local business.  Police are continuing their investigation.

December 25th, 2025

At 8:50 pm, police were dispatched to a residence regarding a highly intoxicated female who could no longer stay at the home.  The female was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober.  She was released without charges.

December 27th, 2025

Police were dispatched to a residence regarding a theft that occurred on December 26th.  The caller advised that the suspects spent the night at her residence and when she woke up, there were several items missing including her rental vehicle.  Police are continuing their investigation.

December 31st, 2025

At 8:13 am, police were dispatched to an apartment complex regarding an intoxicated male who was causing issues in the hallway and banging on doors.  He was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober.  He was released without charges.

At 11:00 am, police were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision at Gilmour and 6th Street. The vehicle was towed from the scene, and the driver was taken by EMS to the hospital for assessment. 

While on general patrol, police conducted a curfew check of a 32-year-old male on conditions. The male was not at the residence; he was later located and arrested for Failing to Comply with his Release Order. The male was released on an Appearance Notice to attend Morden Provincial Court in April.

January 1st, 2026

At 4:00 am, police were dispatched to a local business for a report of an intoxicated male sleeping in a lobby, the business was requesting the male to be removed. Police arrived and arrested the 24-year-old male under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. He was released without charges.

January 2nd, 2026

Police were dispatched the intersection of 8th Street and Stephen Street for a 2-vehicle collision. No injuries were reported, and the one driver was issued a ticket for Proceed when Unsafe to do so. The drivers exchanged information and police cleared.

January 4th, 2026

Police were dispatched to a local residence along with EMS for a 34-year-old male. EMS transported him to the local hospital for assessment and police cleared.
