- One ticket for Drive Unregistered which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for Drive without Valid License which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for Drive while Disqualified which carries a fine of $672
- One ticket for Drive Vehicle Equipped with Radar Detection which carries a fine of $298
December 27th, 2023
Police were dispatched to a local hospital for a report of an assault victim requesting police assistance. Police attended and found the victim to have injuries that were a result of an altercation with the victim’s spouse at their residence in Morden. Police subsequently arrested a 29-year-old male for assault and released him on an Undertaking with a March court date in Morden.
December 29th, 2023
Police were dispatched to a local residence for a male who was agitated and causing a disturbance. EMS arrived and transported him to the local hospital for assessment.
January 2nd, 2024
Police received a report that several inflatable lawn decorations were stolen several days earlier. Police conducted an investigation and subsequently located the stolen items and returned them to their owners. No charges were laid as a result of the investigation.
January 4th, 2024
Police received a warrant for 30-year-old James Cook Shingoose for Failing to Comply with Probation Order.
January 5th, 2024
Police received a report of a hit and run to a vehicle that occurred on January 3rd, 2024 while parked at a local business on South Railway Street. The driver parked their 2020 black Mazda and retuned to find damage to the right rear of the vehicle.
At 11:45pm, while on general patrol police conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle and detected an odor of liquor coming from the driver. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a “warn” reading. The driver was issued a 15-day driving suspension, a 3-day vehicle impoundment along with a $500 administrative penalty.
January 6th, 2024
Police were dispatched to a local residence for an intoxicated male who stated there were people in his residence and he didn’t feel safe. Police attended and searched the residence which was found to be empty. The male was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and was released to EMS for assessment.
January 8th, 2024
At 4:00am, police were dispatched to a residence for an intoxicated male. The male was found highly intoxicated and nonsensical and was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and held in custody until sober.
At 5:30am, police received a report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance at a local hotel. Police attended and arrested a 34-year-old male under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and held him in custody until sober.
