December 3rd, 2024
Police and Morden Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Mountain Street and Thornhill Street. The driver of a white Mazda advised that he was travelling south bound on Mountain Street when a black Ford entered his lane which caused him to collide with the vehicle. There were no injuries, and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
December 4th, 2024
Police and Morden Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a residence regarding a fire in a garbage can. Police attended and controlled the fire with fire extinguishers until Morden Fire arrived to fully extinguish the fire.
December 7th, 2024
Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 3 and La Verendrye Boulevard. A white Toyota was attempting to cross Highway 3 from La Verendrye Boulevard and pulled out in front of a black Chevrolet travelling west bound on Highway 3. Morden Fire and Rescue attended the scene along with EMS. Both drivers were transported to the hospital for assessment and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
At 8:30 pm, police were dispatched to a residence regarding an intoxicated male who needed to be removed. Police attended and arrested the 45-year-old male under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. He was lodged in cells until sober and released without charges.
