Drug Trafficking Investigation

On June 4th, 2024 at 6:50 am members of the Morden Police Service conducted a traffic stop on a suspect vehicle near the intersection of Hwy 3 at Hwy 14 as part of an ongoing drug investigation.  A male driver and female occupant were both arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking.  The Morden PS K9 unit assisted in the search of the occupants and vehicle where police located Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, Cocaine, numerous items related to drug trafficking and over $1,000 in cash.   Both occupants were taken into custody and transported to the Morden Police Service.

On the same date Morden Police investigators, with assistance from the Regional Support Tactical Team, executed a Search Warrant at a residence in the City of Morden.   During the search, police located Cocaine, Methamphetamine, a set of “brass knuckles”, a digital scale, baggies and other drug-related paraphernalia. 

As a result of this investigation, 46-year-old Travis Hall of Morden has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Goods obtained by a Crime and Fail to Comply with the conditions of a Probation Order.   The accused was remanded into custody and appeared in Winnipeg Provincial court on June 5th, 2024.

The 40-year-old female passenger, a resident of Darlingford, will be facing similar charges and was released on an Undertaking to appear in Morden Provincial Court in August.
