February 12th, 2024
Police received a report of a break enter and theft from a detached garage. The caller advised that sometime between February 10th and February 12th someone entered the garage and stole several items. Police are continuing their investigation.
Police received a report of a theft of a bicycle that happened sometime between February 10th and 11th. The 15 speed Mongoose Ravage was taken from the back of the caller’s truck.
February 13th, 2024
At 5:40 pm, police were dispatched to a business regarding an intoxicated male. The intoxicated male was located near the business and is known to be on conditions to not consume alcohol. The 30 year-old Morden resident was arrested for Failing to Comply with an Undertaking. He was released when he was sober on an Appearance Notice to attend Morden Provincial Court in April.
February 15th, 2024
A local business reported several items including jewelry stolen from their business the day before. Police are continuing their investigation.
Police received a report of a hit and run accident that occurred at approximately 12:00 pm while the vehicle was parked on Stephen Street. The driver parked his 2015 black Dodge Ram truck and returned to find a dent on the driver’s side front bumper.
At 7:00 pm, police received a call requesting police assistance with a female who was threatening to harm herself. Police attended and spoke to the female who was subsequently transported by EMS to a healthcare facility for an assessment.
February 17th, 2024
Police received several reports of incidents regarding thefts from motor vehicles:
– a cell phone stolen from a vehicle on Alvey Street;
– money stolen from a vehicle on Gilmour Street;
– a vehicle was rummaged through but nothing taken on Mountain Street;
– a vehicle was rummaged through but nothing taken on 9th Street South.
At 5:45 pm, police received a call regarding a male stealing money from the caller’s vehicle. The caller knew who the suspect was as they saw him in the vehicle and told him to leave. Police located the suspect and he was arrested for Failing to Comply with an Undertaking and Theft Under $5,000. He was released on an Undertaking to attend to Morden Provincial Court in April.
February 18th, 2024
At 2:30 am, police conducted a traffic stop and recognized the front passenger. Subsequent checks revealed her to be on an Undertaking and one of the conditions was to not attend the City of Morden. She was arrested and released on an Appearance Notice to attend Morden Provincial Court in April.
At 6:00 pm, police were dispatched to the Morden Park regarding an Assault with Weapon. Police attended and found two people had been pepper sprayed by a group of three suspects. The suspects had fled and one victim was transported to the hospital by EMS. The three youth suspects were later located and arrested for Assault with a Weapon. They were all released on Undertakings to attend Morden Provincial Court in April.
