During this reporting period, MPS issued:

  • One By-Law ticket for Parking Facing Oncoming Traffic which carries a fine of $100
  • One ticket for Possess Unstamped Tobacco which carries a fine of $2542

January 15th, 2025

Police were dispatched to a local business for a report of a female who they believed was having a panic attack. Police arrived on scene and found the 34-year-old female to be intoxicated and known to have a warrant for her arrest. The female arrested on the strength of the warrant and released once sober with an Appearance Notice to attend Morden Provincial Court in April.

January 17th, 2025

At 1:15 am, police were dispatched to a residence regarding an intoxicated female causing a disturbance. Police arrived on scene to find a 31-year-old female screaming and refusing to leave. She was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. She was released without charges.

January 22nd, 2025

Police were dispatched to a 3-motor vehicle collision at the intersection of 1st Street and Thornhill Street in Morden. Police arrived on scene and assisted all parties in exchanging particulars. Two vehicles were towed from the scene.

January 26th, 2025

While on a traffic stop police located a controlled substance within the vehicle. The driver was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substances and released on an Appearance Notice to attend Morden Provincial Court in April.

January 27th, 2025

At 9:00 am, police received a report of a stolen utility trailer from a local residence. Police are continuing their investigation. The trailer is a black homemade 24’ long trailer with dual axles and white rims, with Manitoba licence plate 876LD.
