January 6th, 2025
At 5:00pm, police were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Thornhill and 2nd Street in Morden. Police arrived on scene to find 2 vehicles involved and no injuries were reported. One vehicle towed from the scene.
January 7th, 2025
Police received a Warrant of Arrest for 30-year-old Jonathan SOLDIER for Failing to Attend Court.
Police were dispatched to a local business regarding an assault in progress. Police arrived on scene and knew both suspects had warrants for their arrest. The suspects fled the scene in a stolen vehicle and police pursued them for several kilometers. With the assistance of the Winkler and Altona Police Services, police were able to safely stop the vehicle and apprehend both suspects. Police arrested both a 29-year-old male and a 27-year-old female on the strength of their warrants, and with several additional charges. They were both remanded into custody.
At 9:45pm, police were dispatched to a residence for a female who was intoxicated. Police arrived and found the 54-year-old female intoxicated and causing a disturbance. She was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. She was released without charges.
January 12th, 2025
At 1:00am, police were dispatched to a local residence regarding a female who was intoxicated and refusing to leave. Police attended and arrested the female under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. She was released without charges.
Police were dispatched to a local residence for a garage fire. Police arrived on scene along with Morden Fire and Rescue. No injuries were reported, and the fire was extinguished.
