July 10th, 2023 – July 17th, 2023

During this reporting period, MPS issued:

  • One ticket for Drive while Disqualified which carries a fine of $672 and a 30-day vehicle impound
  • One ticket for speeding (76km/hr in a 50km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $403
  • One ticket for drive unregistered which carries a fine of $298

July 11th, 2023

Police received a warrant of arrest for 34-year-old Lawrence Eugene RICHARD for failing to attend court.

Police received a warrant of arrest for 33-year-old Michael ANDERSON for failing to attend court.  

July 12th, 2023

At 3:22pm, police were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle collision near Thornhill Street and 15th Street. The driver was found to be unconscious and was tended to by EMS and transported to hospital for further assessment.

July 14th, 2023

At 4:42am, police were dispatched to a local residence for a report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance. Police arrived on scene where an 18-year-old male arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. He was released without charges.

At 11:30pm, police were dispatched to a local residence for an intoxicated female that had assaulted someone. Police attended and arrested an intoxicated female and lodged her in police cells under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act until sober. The suspect was later released without charges.

July 15th, 2023

At 2:00pm, police received a complaint of a domestic assault. Police learned the victim was threatened by her husband with a knife during an argument. The suspect was located by police and the 73-year-old male was arrested for Assault with a Weapon and Uttering Threats. He was later released on an Undertaking to appear at Morden Provincial Court in September.
