July 11th, 2022 – July 18th, 2022

During this reporting period, MPS issued:  

  • One ticket for Speeding (72km/hr in a 50km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $338 
  • One ticket for Speeding (69km/hr in a 50km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $299 
  • One ticket for Speeding (78km/hr in a 50km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $416 
  • Three tickets for Drive an Unregistered Vehicle which carries a fine of $298 
  • Five tickets for Failing to Wear a Seatbelt which carries a fine of $298 

July 11th, 2022 

Police received a report of Mischief to a local school. The caller advised that sometime between Saturday July 9th at 3:30 pm and July 11th someone splashed paint on the building. There are no suspects at this time. 

July 12th, 2022 

Police received a warrant of arrest for 18 year old Calianna Grace Keeper for failing to attend Morden Provincial Court on July 12th, 2022. 

Police received a warrant of arrest for 40 year old Bryan Roger Delorme for failing to attend Morden Provincial Court on July 12th, 2022 and for failing to attend the Morden Police Service for Identification on the same date. 

Police issued a warrant of arrest for 38 year old Angela Dawn Roberts for failing to attend Morden Police Service for Identification on July 12th, 2022.  

Police issued a warrant of arrest for 25 year old Tyler James Thorvaldson for failing to attend Morden Police Service for Identification on July 12th, 2022. 

July 14th, 2022 

While on general patrol Police observed a man who was known to be on conditions to reside at a specific residence. The male was no longer residing at that residence, and he was charged with one count of failing to comply with his Undertaking. He was released on an Appearance Notice to attend Morden Provincial Court in September. 

July 17th, 2022 

While on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop and detected an odor of liquor coming from the driver.  Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a fail reading. The driver was issued a 90 day driving suspension and a 30 day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $700 administrative penalty.   

At 10:30 pm, police were dispatched to a local business regarding an intoxicated male inside the business. Police attended and learned that the male had driven to the business and his vehicle was parked in the parking lot. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening Device which resulted in a ‘Fail’ reading. The accused was arrested and transported to the Morden Police Service to provide a breath sample, which resulted in both readings analyzed at 170 mg%. As a result of the readings, a 32 year old Morden resident was charged with Operation While Impaired and Operate Over 80 mg%. The driver was issued a license suspension of 3 months along with a 60 day impoundment of the vehicle. He will appear in Morden Provincial Court in September.
