July 14th, 2025
While on general patrol police conducted a traffic stop. While speaking to the driver, the officer observed a package of unmarked tobacco in the vehicle. A search was conducted and found controlled substances on the driver. The 40-year-old male was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance and is to appear at the Morden Provincial Court in October. Additionally, one ticket was issued for Possess Not Manitoba Marked Tobacco which carries a fine of $2542.
July 15th, 2025
Police were dispatched to the intersection of 1st Street and Thornhill Street for a vehicle collision. Police attended and no injuries were reported. One vehicle was towed from the scene and police cleared.
Police received an endorsed warrant for Christopher Steigerwald for failing to comply with an undertaking condition.
July 16th, 2025
Police were dispatched to a local business for a report of a female who was having seizures. Police attended along with EMS. The female was transported to the hospital and police cleared.
July 17th, 2025
Police received a report from a local business that someone stole 3 lawn chairs. Police watched the surveillance video and identified the suspect. The business wanted the individual banned from the location; the 26-year-old male was banned from the business and chairs were returned.
Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision at 1st and Thornhill Street. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
July 19th, 2025
While on general patrol police observed a male stumbling while walking through a parking lot. The male was arrested under the intoxicated persons detention act and was lodged in cells. Upon further checks, he male was additionally charged with fail to comply with a release order, and he had a warrant for his arrest. The 21-year-old male was arrested for the additional offences, and he was remanded into custody.
At 9:00 am, police were dispatched to a local residence for a female requesting assistance. Police arrived and found the female locked in the bathroom due to an argument with another occupant. Subsequent searches were conducted, and police found the 20-year-old male who had a no contact order with the female. The male was arrested for failing to comply with undertaking condition and released on an Appearance Notice to attend court in October.
