During this reporting period, MPS issued:
- One ticket for Failing to Produce Licence when required which carries a fine of $113
- One ticket for Failing to Produce Insurnace Certificate when required which carries a fine of $113
- One ticket for Drive without Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance which carries a fine of $672
- Two tickets for Drive Unregistered Vehicle which carries a fine of $298
July 29th, 2025
While on general patrol, police received a complaint of a possible intoxicated driver. Police located the vehicle and observed a strong odor of liquor coming from the driver. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a fail reading. The driver was issued a 90-day driving suspension and a 30-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $700 administrative penalty.
July 30th, 2025
At 2:30am, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving a local business. While speaking with the driver, police observed illegal substances in the vehicle. The driver and passenger were both arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking. They were both released on Undertakings to attend Morden Provincial Court in October.
While on general patrol, police observed a male known to be on conditions to not be away from his home address. He was arrested for Breach CSO and released on a Release Order to attend court in September.
At 9:30pm, police received a report of a male who drank hand sanitizer and then fled the hospital. Police located the male who was highly intoxicated. After a search the male was known to be breaching conditions. He was arrested for Failing to Comply with Undertaking and released on an Appearance Notice to attend Morden Provincial Court in October.
July 31st , 2025
Police were dispatched to a local residence for a report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance. Police arrived and located the male who was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells. He was released once sober with no charges.
August 1st, 2025
At 9:40am, police received a report of tools missing from a local business. Police are continuing to investigate.
Police were dispatched to a local business for a report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance. Police knew this male to be on conditions not to possess or consume alcohol and when police arrived on scene the 30-year-old male was intoxicated. He was arrested for Failing to Comply with Undertaking and released on an Appearance Notice to attend Morden Provincial Court in October.
August 3rd, 2025
At 11:00pm, police received a call requesting police assistance with a male who was threatening himself. Police attended and spoke to the male who was subsequently transported to a healthcare facility for an assessment.
While on general patrol police observed a vehicle that was reported as stolen. Police conducted a traffic stop and arrested the 3 individuals inside the vehicle. They were all arrested for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. Police are continuing to investigate.
