During this reporting period, MPS issued:
– 21 tickets for Speeding
– Three tickets for Passing an Emergency Vehicle Engaged in Prescribed Activity While Using Emergency Equipment, Fail to Move into a Farther Lane/Comply with Speed Requirements which carries a fine of $298
– Two tickets for Drive an Unregistered Vehicle which carries a fine of $298
– Six tickets for Disobey Traffic Control Device namely Stop Sign which carries a fine of $203
– Three tickets for Fail to Stop at Railway Crossing with Stop Sign which carries a fine of $298
– One ticket for Proceed Before Safe to do so which carries a fine of $174
– One ticket for Disorderly Conduct in or around Licensed Premises which carries a fine of $672
– Three tickets for Trespass which carries a fine of $672
– Two tickets for Drive without Holding Valid Drivers Licence which carries a fine of $298
– One ticket for Fail to Produce Licence which carries a fine of $113
March 10th, 2025
At 3:50 am, police were dispatched to a local residence for a female screaming. Police arrived on scene and arrested the 54-year-old female under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. She was lodged in cells until sober and released without charges.
March 12th, 2025
At 11:00 pm, police were dispatched to a report of a female walking outside in the snow with no shoes on. Police located a 54-year-old female intoxicated. She was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober.
March 13th, 2025
At 6:00 pm, police were dispatched for a report of a female walking down the middle of Stephen Street. Police located the female, she was intoxicated and had difficulty walking. She was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. She was released without charges.
Police were dispatched to a local residence for a report of a male causing a disturbance. Police arrived and found the 31-year-old male screaming and intoxicated. He was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. He was released without charges.
March 15th, 2025
At 5:00 pm, police were dispatched to a local residence for a report of an intoxicated female who was refusing to leave. Police arrived and arrested the 54-year-old female under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. She was lodged in cells until sober and released without charges.
March 16th, 2025
Police were dispatched to a business for a male causing a disturbance. Police arrived on scene to find the male on the roof and yelling at police. He was arrested under the LCGA Be Disorderly at a Licensed Premises. While being transported the male intentionally damaged the police car, which resulted in additionally being charged for Mischief. He was released on an Undertaking to attend Morden Provincial Court in June.
At 1:45 am, police along with EMS were dispatched for a report of a female having seizures. Police assisted until EMS transported the female to a local health care facility for assessment.
March 17th, 2025
Police received a call reporting a female walking in the middle of the road who they believed to be intoxicated. Police located the female and arrested her under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. She was released from cells once sober and without charges.
At 3:00 am, police were dispatched to a residence for a male causing a disturbance. Police arrested the 31-year-old male under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. He was released without charges.
March 19th, 2025
Police received a complaint of a domestic assault that took place earlier that morning. The 25-year-old male was arrested for assault and was released on an Undertaking to attend Morden Provincial Court in June.
At 7:00 pm, police were dispatched to a local business for a male needing medical attention. Police arrived on scene along with EMS and the male was transported to a local health care facility for observation.
March 21st, 2025
At 3:00 pm, police observed a male known to be on conditions to not attend a local business, attending that establishment. Police advised him that he was under arrest for Breach Undertaking and then transported to the station. While in cells the male was additionally charged with Mischief for damaging police equipment within the cells. He was released on an Appearance Notice to attend Morden Provincial Court in June.
March 22nd, 2025
Police were dispatched to highway 3 for a report of a 2-vehicle collision. Police arrived on scene and found a white car with significant damage in the ditch, police did not immediately locate the second vehicle. EMS arrived on scene along with Morden Fire and Rescue. While EMS assisted with the driver police located the second vehicle involved in the accident. While police were talking with the driver an odor of liquor was observed. The driver was arrested and brough to the station so that he could provide a breath sample. The male subsequently failed, and he was charged with Drive Impaired Cause Bodily Harm and released on an Undertaking to attend Morden Provincial Court in June. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and EMS transported the first driver to the local hospital for assessment.
