During this reporting period, MPS issued:
- Three tickets for Speeding
- One ticket for Unlawful Transport of Liquor in a Motor Vehicle which carries a fine of $237
- One ticket for Drive while Disqualified which carries a fine of $672 and a 30-day motor vehicle seizure
- One ticket for Disobey Traffic Control Device namely Red Light which carries a fine of $203
April 1st, 2025
Police received a Warrant of Arrest for a 20-year-old Winnipeg resident for Failing to Attend Court. On April 4th she was arrested on this warrant and released on a Release Order to attend court later this month.
April 2nd, 2025
At 3:40 pm, police could hear yelling in the backyard of a residence. Police located an intoxicated female and a sober male on the property. The male requested that police remove the female from the property as she was intoxicated. The 31-year-old female was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober.
At 1:15 am, police were dispatched to a residence regarding an intoxicated female who had nowhere to stay. Police attended and located a highly intoxicated 54-year-old female who was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober.

Police received a report of an intoxicated female causing a disturbance at a local business. Police attended and located a highly intoxicated 54-year-old female who was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober.
April 5th, 2025
At 1:30 am, police observed a vehicle leave a local establishment at a high rate of speed. Police conducted a traffic stop and made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a warn reading. The driver was issued a 72-hour driving suspension and a 3-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $400 administrative penalty.
Police received a report of a female jumping in front of vehicles in the area of South Railway and Cochlan Drive. Police arrived on scene and located the female who was observed to be intoxicated. The 54-year-old female was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and was lodged in cells until sober.
April 8th, 2025
Police were dispatched to an apartment complex regarding an intoxicated male banging on everyone’s door. Police attended and located the male who was highly intoxicated and causing a disturbance. The 31-year-old male was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and was lodged in cells until sober.
At 11:40 pm, police received a report of an assault. The victim advised that he was assaulted while walking down Stephen Street. Police located the suspect and he was arrested for assault and under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells. The victim later declined charges for assault. The 31-year-old male was released when sober and issued a ticket for Disorderly Conduct in or around Licensed Premises which carries a fine of $672.
April 10th, 2025
At 12:40 am, police conducted a curfew check on an individual who was released on a Release Order with a curfew of 11pm to 6am. The male was not at the residence and was later located at a different residence. He was arrested and charged with two counts of Failing to Comply with a Release Order. He was remanded into custody to appear in Winnipeg Courts.
April 11th, 2025
At 4:05 am, police were dispatched to an unoccupied residence regarding a break and enter. The caller advised they could hear someone in the vacant unit beside them. Police attended and observed a broken basement window but the residence was empty. The suspect was not located.
April 12th, 2025
While on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop and detected an odor of liquor coming from the driver. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a fail reading. The driver was issued a 90-day driving suspension and a 30-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $700 administrative penalty.
