During this reporting period, MPS issued:
– 13 tickets for Speeding
– One ticket for Drive an Unregistered Vehicle which carries a fine of $298
– One ticket for Proceed Before Safe to do so which carries a fine of $174
– One ticket for Possess Not Manitoba Marked Tobacco which carries a fine of $2542
– One ticket for Disobey Traffic Control Device namely Red Light which carries a fine of $203
– Three ticket for Fail to Display the Correct Number and Type of Number Plate which carries a fine of $113
May 19th, 2026
Police received a report of a vehicle stolen a local business. A grey 2015 Chrysler 300 was driven from the business parking lot at approximately 2300 hrs May 14th, 2026, without the owner’s consent. Police are continuing their investigation.
At 9:00 pm, police were dispatched to a local business for a report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance. Police arrived on scene and through checks on the male were advised he was breaching his Undertaking. The 23-year-old male was arrested for Breach Undertaking and Possession of Controlled Substance. He was released on an Undertaking to attend Morden Provincial Court in August.
May 20th, 2026
At 12:00 pm, police were dispatched to a local residence for an intoxicated male causing a disturbance. Police attended and located the 32-year-old male, he was arrested under the Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act. He was lodged in cells and released once sober without charges.
May 21st, 2026
Police were dispatched to a local residence for a report of an intoxicated female. Police attended and located a 56-year-old female, she was arrested under the Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act and lodged in cells. She was released once sober without charges.
At 8:30 pm, police were dispatched to a local apartment building for an intoxicated male outside causing a disturbance. The 32-year-old male was arrested under the Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act and he was lodged in cells until sober and released without charges.
May 23rd, 2026
At 10:49 pm, police received a report of a motor vehicle theft. The owner of the vehicle observed their vehicle turning on and drive away. The owner immediately called 9-1-1 and was able to share with police a last known direction. With the assistance of the owner Police were able to locate the vehicle, however a suspect was not found. Police are continuing to investigate.
May 25th, 2026
At 8:00 pm, police received a report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance while walking on the sidewalk. Police located the 32-year-old male who was highly intoxicated. He was arrested under the Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act and lodged in cells. He was released once sober without charges.
While on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop and spoke with a driver known to be on conditions. Police K9 attended the traffic stop and conducted a search on the vehicle with positive indications of having controlled substances in the vehicle. The two occupants of the vehicle were arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance and they were released on Undertakings to attend Morden Provincial Court in July.
