During this reporting period, MPS issued:

– Eight tickets for Speeding
– One ticket for Drive an Unregistered Vehicle which carries a fine of $298
– Two tickets for Fail to Wear a Seatbelt which carries a fine of $298
– One ticket for Disobey Traffic Control Device namely Stop Sign which carries a fine of $203
– One ticket for Fail to Display the Correct Number and Type of Number Plate which carries a fine of $113
– Two tickets for Using Studded Tires out of season which carries a fine of $174
– One ticket for Drive Imprudently which carries a fine of $203
– One ticket for Make Unnecessary Noise namely Squealing Tires which carries a fine of $237
– One ticket for Use a Cellular Phone while Driving a Vehicle which carries a fine of $672 and a 3 day driving suspension
– One By-Law ticket for Parked Contrary to Signage – Loading Zone which carries a fine of $100

May 26th, 2026

At 1:55 am, police were dispatched to a local residence for a report of an intoxicated female. Police attended and located a 55-year-old female, she was arrested under the Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act and lodged in cells. She was released once sober without charges.

May 27th, 2026

Police received a call requesting assistance with a female who was threatening to harm herself. Police attended and spoke to the female who subsequently agreed to go to a healthcare facility for an assessment.

Police were dispatched to a local residence for a report of an intoxicated female. Police attended and located a 55-year-old female, she was arrested under the Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act and lodged in cells. She was released once sober without charges.

At 9:09 pm, police were dispatched to a local residence regarding an intoxicated male who was causing a disturbance by waving his bloody hands in people’s faces. The male was located and arrested for Causing a Disturbance as he was becoming combative with police. He was treated by EMS and lodged in cells until sober. He was released without charges.

May 28th, 2026

At 3:50 pm, police received a call regarding a female who had staggered behind a business and was now laying down in the grass. The caller was not sure if the female needed medical attention. Police attended and located a 55-year-old female, she was arrested under the Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act and lodged in cells. She was released once sober without charges.

May 29th, 2026

Police were dispatched to a local business regarding an intoxicated male causing problems. The male had left the business but was located a short distance away. The 52-year-old male was arrested under the Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act and lodged in cells. He was released once sober without charges.

June 1st, 2026

At 3:20 pm, police were dispatched to a residence regarding a male attempting to break into the residence and smashing a vehicle parked on the driveway. Police attended and arrested the male who was still on the property. The male was talking nonsensical and advised police that he resided at the address. He was issued an Undertaking to attend court in Morden and taken to a healthcare facility for an assessment.

June 2nd, 2026

While on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop and observed open liquor in the backseat. Police conducted a search and located baggies of cocaine within the vehicle as well. A male was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and two counts of Fail to Comply with an Undertaking. He was released on an Appearance Notice to attend to Morden Provincial Court in August. He was also issued a ticket for Unlawful Transportation of Liquor in a Motor Vehicle which carries a fine of $237.

Police conducted an address check on a female who was believed to be breaching a condition of her Release Order by residing at an incorrect address. The female was located at this address and arrested for Failing to Comply with her Release Order. She was remanded into custody to appear at a later date.

At 10:04 pm, police conducted a traffic stop on a male who was on curfew conditions. Subsequent checks confirmed the male to be on a curfew, and a search incident to arrest located Methamphetamine in his possession. The male was arrested for Failing to Comply with his Undertaking and for Possession of Methamphetamine. He was released on an Appearance Notice to attend to Morden Provincial Court in August.

June 3rd, 2026

Police received a report of a historical sexual assault. Police are continuing their investigation.

June 5th, 2026

At 2:30 pm, police were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Route 100 and Thornhill Street. The driver of a white Volkswagen Tiguan was travelling eastbound on Thornhill Street when it collided with a red Chevrolet Cobalt turned southbound onto Route 100. EMS attended and cleared all people involved in the accident. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

June 6th, 2026

Police received a call from EMS requesting police assistance with a male who was threatening to harm himself. Police attended and spoke to the male who was subsequently transported to a healthcare facility for an assessment.
