During this reporting period, MPS issued:
- Two By-Law tickets for Parking Facing Oncoming Traffic which carries a fine of $100
- One By-Law ticket for Parking Contrary to Signage which carries a fine of $100
- Three written warning for Speeding
- Three tickets for Speeding
- One ticket for Drive an Unregistered Vehicle which carries a fine of $298
- Two tickets for Drive without Valid Drivers License which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for Drive While Disqualified which carries a fine of $672 and a 30 day motor vehicle seizure
November 17th, 2025
Police were dispatched to a dwelling unit regarding a noise complaint. Police attended and advised the homeowner of the complaint. While departing the area, police observed the homeowner continuing to cause a disturbance outside his residence. The male was intoxicated and was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. During the arrest the suspect resisted and subsequently assaulted police. The male was arrested for Assault Police and Resist Arrest, held until sober and then released on an Undertaking to attend Morden Provincial Court in January.
November 18th, 2025
At 4:00am, police were dispatched to a dwelling unit for a report of an intoxicated male breaking windows. Police arrived and arrested the male responsible for mischief. The property owner did not wish to proceed with charges, and the male was held in custody under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober.
November 20th, 2025
Police were dispatched to a business for a report of a theft. Police obtained video footage and later identified the suspect, whom was believed to be responsible for a similar theft at the same business in July. On December 2, 2025 with the assistance of the Winkler Police Service, a 36 year-old male from Winnipeg was arrested and released on an Undertaking with a court date in Morden on February 3, 2026.
November 30th, 2025
At 8:45 pm, police were dispatched to the Minnewasta Golf Course regarding vehicles driving erratically in the parking lot. Both vehicles were located and warned for Drive Imprudent. One ticket for Fail to Produce License was issued which carries a fine of $113.
