During this reporting period, MPS issued:

  • One By Law ticket for parking a trailer on the street which carries a fine of $150

November 27th, 2023

Police received a report of a theft of a statue and rock from a residence in the 400 block of 15th Street.  The items were taken off the pathway near the house.

November 28th, 2023

Police received a report of two vehicles being keyed while they were parked in a parking lot at the corner of 5th Street and Thornhill Street.  Police are continuing their investigation.

November 29th, 2023

Police received a report of a theft from a vehicle.  The caller advised that her vehicle was parked on her driveway and sometime overnight someone went through her vehicle and took some money from inside.

At 2:15 pm, police were dispatched to an apartment building regarding smoke in the hallway.  Police attended along with Morden Fire and EMS, and it was discovered that someone had left food on the stove.  No one was injured and Morden Fire cleared out the smoke from the building.

At 11:00 pm, police received a report of a theft from a local business.  The caller advised that his bike was stolen from outside the business at 5:00 pm that day.  Police are continuing their investigation.

December 1st, 2023

At 4:50 am, police were dispatched to Autumnwood Crescent for two people going through vehicles. Police attended the area and observed the two suspects walking in the area. One suspect was observed to be in possession of items stolen from a vehicle and two knives.  She was arrested for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and released on an Undertaking to attend to Morden Provincial Court in March. The second suspect was on conditions to not be in contact with the other suspect. She was charged with Failing to Comply with her Undertaking and released on an Appearance Notice for court in March.

December 2nd, 2023

At 9:50 pm police were dispatched to a residence regarding an intoxicated female. When police arrived, they observed a highly intoxicated female on the front step yelling at police to take her away. Police spoke with the other residents of the home, and they agreed that she needed to leave for the night. She was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. She was released without charges. 

December 3rd, 2023

Police received a call regarding a male laying in the middle of Thornhill Street. As they were responding to the call a vehicle pulled up with the male in the front seat. The male was heavily intoxicated and arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. He was lodged in cells until sober and released without charges.
