While on general patrol, police observed a vehicle enter a parking lot quickly and have difficulty parking.  Police spoke to the driver and detected an odor of liquor coming from the vehicle.  Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a fail reading.  The driver was issued a 90-day driving suspension and a 30-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $700 fine.

At 1:50 am, police observed a male walking in the parking lot of a licensed establishment with open liquor.  Police spoke to the male who refused to identify himself and was argumentative with police.  The male was intoxicated and and belligerent with police, refusing to follow direction.  He was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober.  He was released the next morning without charges.

At 3:20 am, police received a 911 call and yelling could be heard in the background before the caller hung up.  Police attended and spoke to a male who advised that everything was fine but he was shirtless and had blood on him.  Another male came to the door and took a fighting stance with closed fists while speaking aggressively to police.  He was told to calm down but he continued to advance towards police screaming at them.  Police told the male that he was under arrest for assault and he then punched police, striking an officer in the face.  Police deployed a Conducted Energy Weapon (Taser) and were able to safely take the male into custody.  A  29 year-old male was charged with Assault Police Officer and Resist Arrest and later released on an Undertaking for court in January.
