During this reporting period, MPS issued:
- One ticket for Drive While Disqualified which carries a fine of $672 and a 30-day vehicle impound
- One ticket for Pass a Stopped School Bus which carries a fine of $672
- Two tickets for Improper equipment namely improper side window tinting which carries a fine of $174
- One ticket for Disobey Traffic Control Device namely Stop Sign which carries a fine of $203
- Two tickets for Fail to Display the Correct Number and type of Number Plate which carries a fine of $113
- One ticket for Passing an Emergency Vehicle Engaged in Prescribed Activity While Using Emergency Equipment, Fail to Move into a Farther Lane which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for speeding (95 km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone) which carries a fine of $639
October 5th, 2022
At midnight, police were dispatched to a residence regarding an assault. Police attended and spoke to the victim who advised she was assaulted by her husband. The 25 year-old male was arrested for Assault and released on an Undertaking to appear in the Morden Provincial Court in December.
October 11th, 2022
At 5:00 pm, police received a report of a possible impaired driver. Police located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop and observed open bottles of alcohol on the floor of the vehicle. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a fail reading. The driver was issued a 90-day driving suspension and a 30-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $700 administrative penalty.
October 12th, 2022
Police issued a warrant of arrest for 40 year-old Bryan Roger Delorme for failing to attend Morden Police Service for Identification on October 11th, 2022.
October 14th, 2022
While on general patrol police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle failed to stop and accelerated quickly away from police before turning into a driveway and coming to a stop. Police pulled in behind the vehicle as the driver got out and fled the area on foot. The male driver was recognized by police as not having a valid driver’s licence. The male was later located and arrested for Flight from a Police Officer and was released on an Undertaking to attend Morden Provincial Court in December. He was also issued a Serious Offence Notice and a ticket for Drive While Disqualified with carries a fine of $672 and a vehicle impound for 30 days.

Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening Device which resulted in a “warn” reading. The driver was issued a 72-hour driving suspension and a 3-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $400 administrative penalty.

At 12:30 am, while on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle coming from a local business. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening Device which resulted in a “warn” reading. The driver was issued a 72-hour driving suspension and a 3-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $400 administrative penalty.
At 5:50 am, police were dispatched to a residence regarding a male who was intoxicated and trying to get into the caller’s residence. The 42 year-old male was located outside the residence and arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. The male was lodged in police cells until sober and released without charges.
