Police seize Stolen Firearm

On February 14th, 2023, the Morden Police Service entered into an investigation regarding a vehicle that was taken without the owner’s consent.  The victim was fearful of the suspect and advised police of a firearm inside a residence located in the City of Morden.  Through subsequent investigation, police located the firearm and determined it had been stolen from a business in the RM of Dufferin in January. Police subsequently located and arrested the accused for the stolen firearm.

As a result of this investigation, 27-year-old Glen JESSHOPE has been charged with Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm Contrary to an Order, Possession of Weapon Obtained by Crime, Take Motor Vehicle without Consent and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.  He was remanded into custody to appear in Winnipeg Provincial Court.
