September 15th, 2025 – September 29th, 2025

During this reporting period, MPS issued:

  • 10 tickets for Speeding
  • Four tickets for Disobey Traffic Control Device namely Stop Sign which carries a fine of $203
  • One By-Law ticket for Parking Contrary to Signage which carries a fine of $100

September 20th, 2025

While on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop. While speaking with the driver, police observed a package of illegal cigarettes which resulted in a $2,548 fine. Police conducted a further search of the vehicle with the Police K9 and located a controlled substance. The 33-year-old driver was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance and was released on an Appearance Notice to attend court in December.

Police were dispatched to a local business for a report of an assault in progress. Police arrived on scene and arrested a 33-year-old male for assault. He was later released on an Undertaking to attend court in December.

September 22nd, 2025

Police were dispatched to a residence for a male causing a disturbance. Police arrived and arrested a 25-year-old male under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. He was released from cells once sober.

September 24th, 2025

Police were dispatched to the intersection of 4th Street and Thornhill Street for a 2-vehicle collision. EMS arrived and treated one driver and both vehicles were towed from the scene.

At 3:45pm, police were dispatched to the intersection of 1st Street and Victoria Street for a 2-vehicle collision.  No injuries were reported and vehicles were towed from the scene.

September 25th, 2025

At 8:30am, police received a report of an assault that took place at a local church. Police later arrested a 36-year-old male for assault and he was remanded into custody to appear in Winnipeg court at a later date.

September 27th, 2025

Police were dispatched to a local business for a report of an intoxicated male refusing to leave. Police arrived and arrested a 31-year-old male under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged him in cells until sober. He was released without charges.

September 29th, 2025

While on general patrol, police observed a male known to be on court-imposed curfew. The 27-year-old male was arrested for failing to comply with his Conditional Sentence Order and remanded into custody.

While on general patrol, police observed a male known to be on conditions breaching his conditions. The 31-year-old male was arrested for failing to comply with Undertaking and released on an Appearance Notice to attend court in December.
