- One ticket for Fail to Notify of Change of Address for Driver’s Licence which carries a fine of $143
- One ticket for Drive while Disqualified which carries a fine of $672 and a 30 day vehicle impound
July 26th, 2022
At 10:00 am, police received a report of Mischief to a storage unit at a local school that occurred sometime overnight. Police attended and observed words spray painted on the building. Police are continuing their investigation.
Police received a warrant of arrest for 22-year-old Joseph NELSON for failing to attend Morden Provincial Court on July 26th, 2022.
Police received a warrant of arrest for a 51-year-old male for failing to attend Morden Provincial Court on July 26th, 2022. On July 27th, 2022 this male turned himself in on this warrant and was released on an Appearance Notice to attend Morden Provincial Court in October.
July 27th, 2022
At 12:20 am, police were dispatched to a local business regarding an intoxicated female inside trying to start fights. Police attended and located the female who was highly intoxicated. She was arrested for Being Disorderly in a Licensed Premises and lodged in cells until sober. She was released in the morning and issued two tickets – one for Disorderly Conduct in or around Licensed Premises which carries a fine of $672 and one for Consume Liquor in a Public Place which carries a fine of $672.
July 29th, 2022
At 2:10 am, police were dispatched to a business for a possible drug overdose. Police and EMS arrived on scene and the individual was subsequently transported to a healthcare facility for further treatment.
Police received a report of a theft of a package. The caller advised that he had a package delivered to his address on July 27th and that someone took the package from outside the building. There are no suspects at this time.
At 5:45 pm, police were dispatched to a local business regarding a male causing a disturbance. The male was upset with the business for not serving him as he was previously banned from the premises. He pushed a set of shelves on the ground and left the business. The next day the same male attended the business and again threw the shelves to the ground. Police were able to identify the suspect and issue him a warning and advised him that he is not allowed to return to this business. The suspect was banned from the premise and no charges were laid as a result of these incidents.
July 30th, 2022
At 7:00 pm, police received a report of a male threatening the caller with a weapon. The caller advised that this male threatened to spray her with bear spray. Police identified the suspect and are continuing their investigation.
July 31st, 2022
At 3:40 am, police were dispatched to a local business regarding a female who was highly intoxicated and acting violently. Police attended and observed that the female required medical assistance and contacted EMS. EMS arrived on scene and she was transported to a healthcare facility for treatment.
While dealing with an unrelated medical call an intoxicated male was acting aggressively and yelling at police and people in the area. He was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. He was issued a ticket for Disorderly Conduct in or around a Licensed Premises which carries a fine of $672.
At 12:45 pm, police were dispatched to a local business regarding a male using counterfeit money. Police attended and observed the money to be counterfeit. Police are continuing their investigation.
At 9:30 pm, police received a report of damage to a building under construction. Police attended and observed several windows were broken on the building. Police are continuing their investigation.
Police were dispatched to a residence regarding a complaint of a broken window. The caller advised that someone threw a rock through her front window and drove away in a vehicle. Police are continuing their investigation.
August 2nd, 2022
At 4:45 am, police were involved in a theft investigation and subsequently observed a male youth suspect on a bike believed to be stolen. Police took the suspect into custody and located a weapon in the backpack he was carrying. He was arrested for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Carrying a Concealed Weapon and was released on an Undertaking for court in Morden Provincial Court in October.
