- One ticket for Drive without Motor Liability Insurance which carries a fine of $672
- One ticket for Drive without a Valid Driver’s Licence which carries a fine of $298
- Two tickets for unlawful Transportation of Liquor in Motor Vehicle which carries a fine of $237
- One ticket for Fail to Comply with Licence Restrictions which carries a fine of $203
- Eleven tickets for Speeding
- One ticket for Use a Cellular Telephone or other Handheld Device while Operating a Motor Vehicle which carries a fine of $672 and a three-day license suspension
- Four tickets for fail to comply with speed requirements when passing an emergency vehicle which carries a fine of $298
- Two tickets for Possess Non-Manitoba Marked Tobacco which carries a fine of $2542
August 26th, 2024
Police received 3 reports of Hit and Runs that happened over the weekend of August 23rd to 25th. The vehicles were parked downtown for the festival and drivers returned to find damage.
August 27th, 2024
At 6:00am, police were dispatched to a report of 2 young girls walking around the city for the past hour. Police located the girls and brought them home safely.
Police received a report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance near Minnewasta Golf Course. When police arrived the suspect was found to be intoxicated and wanted for Failing to Attend Court. He was arrested and later released once sober on an Undertaking to attend Morden Provincial Court in November
August 30th, 2024
At 1:00am, police were dispatched to a payphone for an intoxicated male causing a disturbance. The 30-year-old male was known to be on conditions not to consume alcohol and was arrested for failing to comply with an undertaking. He was released once sober on an Appearance Notice to attend Morden Provincial Court in November
August 31st, 2024
While on general patrol police conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation. Police observed open liquor in the front driver’s seat. Upon further investigation the driver admitted to having cocaine in his possession and the passenger did the same. They were arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance and released on Undertakings to attend Morden Provincial Court in November. The driver also received two tickets, one for Unlawful transportation of liquor in motor vehicle which carries a fine of $237 and Unlawful transportation of cannabis in or on a motor vehicle which carries a fine of $237
Police were dispatched a fire at a local residence. Police and Morden Fire and Rescue arrived on scene and the fire was extinguished. No injuries were reported, police cleared.
While on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop and detected an odor of liquor coming from the driver. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening Device which resulted in a fail reading. The driver was issued a 90-day driving suspension and a 30-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $700 fine.
September 1st, 2024
While conducting an MPI check stop, police conducted a traffic stop and detected a strong odor of liquor coming from the driver. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening Device which resulted in a fail reading. The male was arrested for Impaired Operation of Motor Vehicle and later provided breath samples of 200 mg%. The driver issued a driving suspension and motor vehicle impoundment, and was released on an Undertaking to attend Morden Provincial Court in November.
Police received a report of a stolen truck from a local impound lot where suspects damaged a fence over night to gain access. Police are continuing their investigation.

Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening Device which resulted in a fail reading. The driver was issued a 90-day driving suspension and a 30-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $700 fine.
September 3rd, 2024
While on general patrol, police observed a male known to be on conditions for domestic assault and was travelling in a vehicle with the victim. Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and the 47-year-old male was arrested for Fail to Comply with Undertaking. He was released on an Appearance Notice to attend Morden Provincial Court in November.
