During this reporting period, MPS issued:
- Eleven tickets for Speeding
- One tickets for Fail to Stop at Railway Crossing with a Stop Sign which carries a fine to $298
- Written warning for Parking in No Parking Zone
- One ticket for Drive while Disqualified which carries a fine of $672
- One By-Law ticket for Parked Contrary to Signage which carries a fine of $100
- One ticket for unlawful transportation of liquor in motor vehicle which carries a fine of $237
- One ticket for Drive Unregistered Vehicle which carries a fine of $298
May 8th, 2025
At 9:00pm, police received a report of a female causing a disturbance by yelling and screaming. Police attended and arrested the 24-year-old female under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. She was released without charges.
May 9th, 2025
At 12:40am, police were dispatched to a local residence for a male causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. Police arrived on scene and arrested the 48-year-old male under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. He was released once sober without charges.
While on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop and detected an open beer can in the cup holder beside the driver. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a warn reading. The driver was issued a 72-hour driving suspension and a 3-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $400 fine.
May 10th, 2025
While on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop and detected an odor of liquor coming from the driver. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a warn reading. The driver was issued a 72-hour driving suspension and a 3-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $400 fine.
At 6:00am, police were dispatched to a local residence for a report of an intoxicated female who was breaking items. Police arrived on scene and arrested the 54-year-old female under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. She was lodged in cells until sober and released without charges.
