May 20th, 2025 – May 26th, 2025

During this reporting period, MPS issued:

  • Six tickets for Speeding
  • Two tickets for Disobey Traffic Control Device namely Stop Sign which carries a fine of $203
  • One ticket for Improper Equipment namely Studded Tires which carries a fine of $174
  • One ticket for Make Unnecessary noise namely Squealing Tires which carries a fine of $237

May 21st, 2025

At 2:00 am, police were dispatched to a local business for an intoxicated male refusing to leave. Police arrested the 31-year-old male under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and he was lodged in cells until sober. He was released without charges.

May 22nd, 2025

Police were dispatched to a 2-motor vehicle collision. Police arrived on scene and no injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and police cleared.

While on general patrol, police observed a 2-vehicle collision at Thornhill and 7th Street. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were towed from the scene. Police cleared.

May 18th, 2025

While on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop and observed a strong odor of liquor coming from the driver. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a warn reading. The driver was issued a 72-hour driving suspension and a 3-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $400 fine.  

May 25th, 2025

While on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop and subsequent checks showed the driver to be prohibited to drive a motor vehicle in Canada. She was arrested for Drive While Prohibited and released on an Appearance Notice to attend Morden Provincial Court in August.
