August 5th, 2025 – August 11th, 2025

During this reporting period, MPS issued: 

  • One ticket for Possess not Manitoba Marked Tobacco which carries a fine of $2542 

August 5th, 2025 

At 8:00 pm, police observed a male speaking to a female who he is on conditions to have no contact with.  He was arrested for Fail to Comply with his Undertaking.  Police located methamphetamine on the male while conducting a search of his person.  He was also arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and released on an Undertaking. 

August 6th, 2025 

Police received a Warrant of Arrest from the court office for a male who failed to attend court on August 5th.  On August 7th, he was arrested on the strength of this warrant and released on an Appearance Notice.

At 2:55 pm, police receive a report of a theft from a local business.  The business owner reported that a male and female have stolen items from her store on different occasions.  Police identified the suspects and issued a banning notice to both suspects for that property. 

August 7th, 2025 

While on general patrol, police observed a vehicle that was unregistered.  Police conducted a traffic stop and observed an open case of beer in the backseat of the vehicle.  Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a fail reading.  The driver was issued a 90 day driving suspension and a 30 day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $700 administrative penalty.  He was also issued a ticket for Drive without Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance which carries a fine of $672, a ticket for Drive without holding a valid Driver’s Licence which carries a fine of $298 and a ticket for As a Driver of a Restricted License, drive a Motor Vehicle not equipped with an approved Ignition Interlock Device which carries a fine of $672.
