During this reporting period, MPS issued:
- Five tickets for Speeding
- One ticket for Drive an Unregistered Vehicle which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for Disobey Traffic Control Device namely Stop Sign which carries a fine of $203
- One By Law ticket for Parked Facing Oncoming Traffic which carries a fine of $100
- One By Law ticket for Parking in a No Parking Zone which carries a fine of $100
October 6th, 2025
Police received a report of a break, enter and theft to a garage in the 200 block of 10th Street. The caller advised that this occurred sometime overnight on October 4th – 5th.
Police received a report of Mischief to a motor vehicle. The caller advised that her vehicle was parked at the Access Event Centre on September 30th from 9:30 am – 1:30 pm and when she returned, she noticed her vehicle had been keyed.
October 8th, 2025
Police received a Warrant of Arrest for Amanda Charlene Wolfe for failing to attend court on October 7th.
October 9th, 2025
Police obtained a Warrant of Arrest for a male who failed to attend for Identification on October 7th. On October 15th he was arrested on the strength of this warrant and released on an appearance notice to attend court in January.
October 15th, 2025
Police received a report that a vehicle drove by a residence and the occupants shot air soft pellets at the home hitting a window.
October 16th, 2025
Police received a report of a theft from a motor vehicle that occurred sometime overnight while parked in a parking lot on Thornhill Street.
At 5:18 pm police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 1st Street and Thornhill Street. A 2022 grey Infinity QX55 was stopped at the lights facing north bound on 1st Street when a vehicle heading east bound on Thornhill Street swerved and hit the front of her vehicle. The suspect vehicle failed to remain at the scene of the accident. The victim’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
October 19th, 2025
While conducting radar speed enforcement, police observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. Police conducted a traffic stop and observed several cans of liquor in the backseat of the vehicle and detected an odor of liquor coming from the driver. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a warn reading. The driver was issued a 72-hour driving suspension and a 3-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $400 administrative penalty.
