Morden Police Make Drug Arrest Following Traffic Stop

On May 7th, 2026, at approximately 9:15 pm the Morden Police Service was on general
patrol at which time they noted a vehicle being driven by a known subject who was
involved in the local drug subculture. Police continued to observe the vehicle to drive in
an erratic manner consistent with trying to elude police attention.


Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on 7th Street and through the course of
their investigation police located items related to the trafficking of illegal drugs, including
16 grams of methamphetamine. The estimated street value for the methamphetamine is
$800.


As a result of this incident, a 30-year-old Winkler resident was charged with possession
of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking


The accused was released on conditions to attend Morden Provincial Court in July.
