While on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop and observed two cans of alcohol on the floor in the backseat of the vehicle. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a fail reading. The driver was issued a 90-day driving suspension and a 30-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $700 administrative penalty. The driver was also issued a ticket for As a Novice Driver, Operate a Motor Vehicle while having Alcohol in the Blood which carries a fine of $113.
At 8:25 pm, police were dispatched to a residence regarding an intoxicated female who was causing a disturbance. A 35-year-old female was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. She was released without charges.
