February 24th, 2025 – March 3rd, 2025

During this reporting period, MPS issued:

Fourteen tickets for Speeding

– One ticket for Use Cellular Device while Driving a Motor Vehicle which carries a fine of $672 and a 3-day driving suspension.

– Three tickets for Drive an Unregistered Vehicle which carries a fine of $298

– One ticket for Drive Without Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance which carries a fine of $672

– One ticket for Failing to Move to a Farther Lane when Passing an Emergency Vehicle Engaged in a Prescribed Activity which carries a fine of $298

– One ticket for Drive Imprudently which carries a fine of $203

February 26th, 2025

Police were dispatched to assist EMS for a report of a female who had overdosed. Police located the female, and EMS transported her to a local health care facility for assessment.

February 24th, 2025

Police received a report of a stolen trailer from a local storage business. The trailer contained snowmobiles and a snow blower. Police are continuing their investigation, and with the assistance of the RCMP all items have been recovered.

March 1st, 2025

At 7:00 pm, police were dispatched to a report of a female who had been injured. Police arrived on scene and found the 23-year-old female with a cut to her face. EMS transported to a local health care facility for assessment.

While on general patrol, police observed a male laying in a parking lot beside a vehicle. The male was intoxicated and transported by EMS for further assessment due to his level of intoxication.

March 2nd, 2025

At 2:30 am, while on general patrol police conducted a traffic stop and observed a bottle of open liquor in the vehicle. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a warn reading.  The driver was issued a 72-hour driving suspension and a 3-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $400 administrative penalty. 

March 3rd, 2025

Police received a report of a dumpster on fire outside of a local business. Police arrived on scene along with Morden Fire and Rescue. The fire was extinguished and police cleared.
