During this reporting period, MPS issued:
- Thirteen tickets for Speeding
- One ticket for Fail to Produce Licence which carries a fine of $113
- One ticket for Drive while Disqualified which carries a fine of $672
- One ticket for Drive without Wearing a Seatbelt which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for Drive without valid Driver’s Licence which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for Drive Unregistered Vehicle which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for Passing an Emergency Vehicle using Emergency Lamps and Fail to Move to Farther Lance which carries a fine of $298
April 16th, 2025
Police received a report of a fraud where the subject purchased items located on What’s App Market Place but did not receive the items. The subject advised that the parcels were empty when they arrived at the Amazon distribution center. He has not been able to make contact with the seller since. Police are continuing their investigation.
April 18th, 2025
While on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop and detected an odor of liquor coming from the driver. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a fail reading. The driver was issued a 90-day driving suspension and a 30-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $700 fine.
April 19th, 2025
At 12:55 am, police observed a vehicle swerve in its lane several times. Police conducted a traffic stop and spoke to the driver whose speech was slurred. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a fail reading. The driver was issued a 90-day driving suspension and a 30-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $700 fine.
April 20th, 2025
While on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop and detected an odor of liquor coming from the driver. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a warn reading. The driver was issued a 72-hour driving suspension and a 3-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $400 fine.
April 21st, 2025
At 2:45 am, police were dispatched to a residence regarding a male causing a disturbance by yelling. Police attended and spoke to the male who advised he would quiet down. Police were called back again at 3:25 am as the male was again yelling and banging on the walls of his apartment. Police attended and arrested the 31 year-old male under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober.
