During this reporting period, MPS issued:
- One written warning for Speeding
- Eight tickets for Speeding
- One ticket for Drive an Unregistered Vehicle which carries a fine of $298
- Four tickets for Drive Imprudently which carries a fine of $203
- Three By Law tickets for Parked Contrary to Signage which carries a fine of $100
- One By Law ticket for No Parking Snow Removal which carries a fine of $100
December 2nd, 2025
Police received a report of a theft from a local business. Police observed the theft on video and are continuing their investigation.
At 7:00 pm, police received a call with a report of a theft of motor vehicle. The caller advised that he parked outside a business and left his vehicle running and unlocked. When he returned his vehicle was gone. The vehicle was located on December 4th and police are continuing their investigation.
December 6th, 2025
At 5:15 pm, police were dispatched to a residence regarding an assault. The caller advised that an Assault had occurred in apartment below his. Police attended and arrested the male for assaulting his wife. He was released on an Undertaking to attend court in February.
December 9th, 2025
Ay 12:08 pm, police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Highway #3 near Boston Pizza. The driver of a delivery truck was eastbound on Highway #3 attempting to turn northbound onto La Verendrye Boulevard when it was rear ended by a truck travelling the same direction. The delivery truck was pushed into the ditch as visibility was believed to be a contributing factor. The truck was towed from the scene and there were no injuries as a result of this accident.
Police received a Warrant of Arrest for Keri Lynn Roberts for Failing to Attend Court.
December 12th, 2025
Police were conducting a walk-through of a local business when they were advised by staff that a customer in the store had previously been observed stealing items from the store. Police spoke to the female suspect who initially denied the theft but later agreed to pay for the items. She was subsequently issued a banning notice from the store.
Police received a report of a hit and run that occurred at a residence in the 500 block of Gilmour Street. The homeowner advised that he was inside his home when he heard a loud bang and observed a vehicle drive off his property after hitting his stair railing and vehicle. He obtained the plate number of the suspect vehicle and provided it to the police. The suspect was located and attended to complete the required paperwork.
December 16th, 2025
At 12:08 pm, police were dispatched to a residence regarding a male causing a disturbance. Police attended and spoke to the victim who advised that the male suspect had left the residence but threatened to return and kill her. The male was located and arrested for Uttering Threats. He was released on an Undertaking to attend court in March.
December 17th, 2025
At 1:27 pm, police were dispatched to a residence regarding a highly intoxicated female who could no longer stay at the home. She was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. She was released without charges.
December 19th, 2025
At 7:52 pm, police were dispatched to the intersection of 8th and Thornhill Street regarding an intoxicated male stopping cars. Police attended and located the male who was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. He was lodged in cells until sober and released without charges.
December 21st, 2025
At 2:33 am, police were called to a fight outside a licenced establishment. Upon arrival, police found a male unconscious bleeding on the ground of the parking lot. Ambulance attended and tended to the victim, who subsequently declined to press charges on the suspect.
Between 7:30 pm and 8:00 pm, police issued two tickets to imprudent drivers that were found driving erratically at the Minnewasta Gold & Country Club parking lot. The public is reminded that snow-covered parking lots are not a safe place to drive recklessly and police have the ability to issue tickets in these instances.
