September 30th, 2025 – October 6th, 2025

During this reporting period, MPS issued:

  • Three tickets for Speeding
  • One ticket for Passing Emergency Vehicle While Engaged in Prescribed Activity and Using Emergency Lamps, Fail to Move to Farther Lane which carries a fine of $298
  • Two tickets for Disobey Traffic Control Device namely Stop Sign which carries a fine of $203

October 1st, 2025

Police received a report of a hit and run to a vehicle that occurred on September 30th while parked in the 100 block of Route 100.  The driver parked his 2013 white Ford F350 and returned to find damage along the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Police were dispatched to a local business regarding a female who was involved with fraudulently using a credit card.  Police attended and arrested the 20 year old Winnipeg resident for incidents that occurred between September 1st and September 10th.  She was released on an Undertaking to attend court in December.

At 10:15 pm, police were dispatched to a local business regarding an intoxicated male who was causing a disturbance and refusing to leave.  He was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober.  He was issued a ticket for Fail to Comply with Direction by Police to Leave a Licenced Premise which carries a fine of $672.

October 3rd, 2025

Police received a request to conduct a wellbeing check on a male who the caller had not been able to reach and was concerned for his safety.  Police attended and located the male who was fine.

October 4th, 2025

At 6:20 pm, police were dispatched to a residence to conduct a wellbeing check.  The caller was concerned for the safety of his girlfriend.  Police attended and she was fine.

Police received a request to conduct a wellbeing check on a female who was arguing with her boyfriend.  The caller advised that she was on the phone with the female when her boyfriend returned home and she was able to hear the arguing.  Police attended and mediated the situation.

At 9:15 pm, police were dispatched to the intersection of Mountain and Thornilll Street regarding a motor vehicle accident.  Police attended and learned that one vehicle was stopped facing southbound at the redlight on Mountain Street waiting to turn left when she was rear ended by another vehicle.  Police spoke to the driver of the vehicle that rear ended the first vehicle and observed an odor of liquor coming from her breath.  Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening device which resulted in a fail reading.  The driver was issued a 90-day driving suspension and a 30-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $700 administrative penalty. 

October 5th, 2025

At 8:15 pm, police received a call requesting police assistance with a male who was threatening to harm himself.  Police attended and spoke to the male who was subsequently transported to a healthcare facility for an assessment.

October 6th, 2025

At 3:10 am, police were dispatched to an apartment complex regarding a fire in the dumpster.  Police attended along with Morden Fire and Rescue.  The fire was extinguished and there was no additional property

damaged.
