During this reporting period, MPS issued:
- Four tickets for Driving without a seatbelt which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for Disobey Traffic Control Device namely Stop Sign which carries a fine of $203
- Four tickets for Use Cellular Telephone or Other Hand Operated Electronic Device While Driving which carries a fine of $672 and a 3-day license suspension.
- Two written warnings
- Three tickets for Failing to Wear Seatbelt which carries a fine of $298
- Four tickets for failing to move over and reduce to proper speed while passing an emergency vehicle which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for failing to change address on driver’s license which carries a fine of $143
- Four tickets for driving an unregistered vehicle which carries a fine of $298
- One ticket for driving imprudently which carries a fine of $203
September 12, 2022
Police received a call reporting that a male who is known to be on a Probation Order was failing to comply with the order. Police attended to the area however the male was gone on arrival, a Warrant was issued for 38-year-old Johan KETLER, who was located a few days later.
September 14th, 2022
Police issued a warrant of arrest for a 32-year-old male for failing to attend Morden Police Service for Identification purposes on September 13th, 2022.
At 2:40 am police received a call regarding an intoxicated male. The male was walking down Stephen Street and was unaware of where he was going. Police arrested the male under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and was released the male without charges once he was sober.
September 17th, 2022
Police were dispatched to the 200 block of North Railway regarding a theft. When the police attended, they were able to identify the accused and return the stolen items. Both suspects were arrested and released without charges, however they did receive banning notices from the stores.
September 18th, 2022
While on general patrol police observed a group of citizens surrounding a male who was intoxicated and laying on a curb on 8th street. The male did not require any medical attention and was released into the care of a family member.
While on patrol, police conducted a traffic stop and detected a strong odor of liquor coming from the driver. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the roadside screening device which resulted in a fail reading. The driver was issued a 90-day driving suspension and a 30-day impoundment of the vehicle along with a $700 administrative penalty.

While on general patrol, police observed a vehicle accelerating through a designated 50km/hr zone. Police conducted a traffic stop and detected a strong odor of liquor coming from the driver. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the roadside screening device which resulted in a fail reading. The driver was issued a 90-day driving suspension and a 30-day impoundment of the vehicle along with the $700 administrative penalty.
