During this reporting period, MPS issued:
– One ticket for Drive without a Valid Driver’s Licence which carries a fine of $298
– One ticket for Possess Not Manitoba Marked Tobacco which carries a fine of $2542
– Two tickets for Speeding
– One ticket for Drive While Disqualified which carries a fine of $672 a 30 day motor vehicle seizure
February 3rd, 2025
Police were dispatched to a residence to conduct a well being check on a female. Police attended and spoke to the female who advised she had been assaulted by the male suspect. The male suspect was arrested for Assault and released on an Undertaking to attend to Morden Provincial Court in April.
At 10:45 pm, police were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 3 near La Verendrye Blvd. A blue Mazda 3 was turning onto an approach when they were rear ended by a grey Honda Civic. There were no injuries and the vehicles were towed from the scene.
February 4th, 2025
Police received a Warrant of Arrest for 44-year-old Amanda Charlene Wolfe for Failing to Comply with her Probation Order.
Police received a report of a hit and run to a vehicle that occurred on February 4th while parked on 9th Street near Wardrop Street. The driver parked their 2021 black GMC Sierra and returned to find damage on the left rear bumper and quarter panel.
Police received a Warrant of Arrest for 27-year-old Tyrel Dorian Esquash for Failing to Attend Court.
February 6th, 2025
At 9:20 am, police received a report of a utility trailer on fire at a residence on Progressive Road. Police attended and Morden Fire and Rescue was already on scene. They pulled the trailer away from the residence and extinguished the fire.
February 9th, 2025
At 7:30 pm, police were dispatched to a local business regarding an intoxicated male causing a disturbance. Police arrived on scene and located a 53-year-old male who was highly intoxicated and had nowhere to stay. He was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober. The male was released without charges.
