During this reporting period, MPS issued:
- One ticket for Drive Imprudently which carries a fine of $203
- Three tickets for Speeding
- Two tickets for Failing to Stop at Stop Sign which carries a fine of $203
April 28th, 2026
At 11:45 am, police were dispatched to 2-motor vehicle collision at the intersection of highway 3 and Buhler Drive. Minor injuries were reported and one driver was transported to the local hospital for assessment. The accident was the result of one vehicle turning southbound from Highway 3 and misjudging the distance to an eastbound vehicle. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and police cleared.
Police received a report of a house that had been vandalized with spray paint on the windows. Police are working on identifying the individuals and are continuing their investigation.
April 30th, 2026
While on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop and observed a strong odor of liquor coming from the driver. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening Device, which the driver refused. The 36-year-old male was issued a 90-day driving suspension and a 30-day impoundment of vehicle along with a $700 administrative penalty. The vehicle was towed from the scene and police cleared.
May 2nd, 2026
At 4:30 pm, police received a call requesting police assistance with a female who was threatening to harm herself. Police attended along with EMS and spoke to the female who was subsequently transported to a healthcare facility for an assessment.
May 5th, 2026
Police received a warrant for Davey Daniel MOUSSEAU for failing to attend court.
May 6th, 2026
Police received a report of a theft at a local business. Items were taken during a craft show with a value of over $600. Police are continuing to investigate.
May 7th, 2026
While on general patrol, police conducted a traffic stop and observed open liquor in the vehicle. Police made a demand for the driver to provide a sample of their breath on the Roadside Screening Device, which resulted in a warn reading. The 26-year-old female was issued a 72-hour driving suspension and a 3-day impoundment of vehicle along with a $400 administrative penalty. The vehicle was towed from the scene and police cleared.
