During this reporting period, MPS issued:

– Four tickets for Speeding
– One ticket for Drive with no Driver’s Licence which carries a fine of $298
– One ticket for Possess not Manitoba marked tobacco which carries a fine $2542

June 23rd, 2026

At 8:50 pm, police received reports of kids riding go karts on the street. Police attended and spoke to one of the kids who had been riding the go kart. It was explained that these vehicles cannot be driven on the streets. All parties understood.

June 24th, 2026

While on general patrol police conducted a traffic stop and observed illegal cigarettes on the floor of the vehicle. One of the occupants was also found to be in Possession of Methamphetamine and was arrested and charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime and Fail to Comply with a Release Order. The 30-year old resident of Morden was remanded into custody.

At 10:16 pm, police were attending to an address to conduct a curfew check on the resident. They observed a vehicle arriving at the residence and conducted a traffic stop with that vehicle. One of the females in the vehicle was known to be on a curfew condition that she was not complying with. The 26-year old resident of Winkler was arrested for Failing to Comply with her Undertaking and released on an Appearance Notice.

June 25th, 2026

At 8:35 pm, police received a report of a male running down Highway #3 near Morden. Police attended and located the male who was highly intoxicated. He was arrested under the Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act and lodged in cells. He was released once sober without charges.

June 26th, 2026

Police received a report of a hit and run to a vehicle that occurred overnight on June 11th – June 12th while parked in a parking lot on Loren Drive. The driver parked their 2012 black GMC Acadia and returned to find damage on the front driver’s side fender.

June 27th, 2026

Police received a report of a highly intoxicated female crawling in the grass on 12th Street. The female was located and arrested under the Protective Detention and Care of Intoxicated Persons Act and lodged in cells. She was released once sober without charges.
