February 17th, 2026 – March 2nd, 2026

During this reporting period, MPS issued:

  • Three tickets for Drive an Unregistered Vehicle which carries a fine of $298
  • Seventeen tickets for Speeding
  • One ticket for Disobey a traffic control device namely Stop Sign which carries a fine of $203
  • Two tickets for Use a Cellular Telephone while Driving a Vehicle which carries a fine of $672 and a 3-day driving suspension.
  • Seven tickets for Fail to Move into Further Lane when Emergency Vehicle is Stopped which carries a fine of $298
  • One By-law ticket for Parked Obstructing Flow of Traffic which carries a fine of $100

February 20th, 2026

At 3:20 pm, police observed an intoxicated female walking on Stephen Street.  Police spoke to the female who was highly intoxicated and had nowhere to stay.  The 42-year-old female was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells until sober.  She was released the next day without charges.

February 21st, 2026

Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 15th Street and Stephen Street.  Police attended and observed a single vehicle stuck in a snowbank with damage to the driver’s side door. The occupants of the vehicle advised that they were travelling east on Stephen Street, and a truck and trailer turned off 15th Street.  The trailer slid into their lane, hitting the driver’s side of their truck causing them to hit the snowbank.  Both occupants were transported by EMS to the Boundary Trails Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The truck was towed from the scene.

At 3:06 pm, police were dispatched to a local business regarding an unwanted person who was refusing to leave.  Police attended and spoke to the person who did not know where she was or how she got there.  EMS attended and transported the person to Boundary Trail Hospital.

February 26th, 2026

At 3:00 pm, police conducted a traffic stop and while speaking with the driver, police observed open liquor in the vehicle. Upon further investigation, police located controlled substances in the vehicle. The 33-year-old driver was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance and Failing to Comply with Undertaking. She was released on an Appearance Notice to attend Morden Provincial Court in April.

While on general patrol, police observed a male to be on conditions. The 32-year-old male was arrested for Failing to Comply with Release Order and Possession of Controlled Substance. He was remanded into custody.

February 27th, 2026

At 4:30 pm, police were dispatched to a local business for an intoxicated female causing a disturbance. Police arrived and arrested the 24-year-old female under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act. She was lodged in cells until sober and released without charges.

February 28th, 2026

At 6:30 pm, EMS requested assistance with an intoxicated male. The 32-year-old male was cleared by EMS and arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and lodged in cells. He was released once sober without charges.
